Crossplane Capital Named Private Equity Firm of the Year by M&A Advisor

DALLAS, September 8, 2021 – After an unprecedented year of dealmaking during a global pandemic, The M&A Advisor announced that Crossplane Capital has been honored with the Private Equity Firm of the Year as part of its 15th Annual Turnaround Awards, which recognizes those that reached the pinnacle of the distressed investing, bankruptcy, and restructuring industry over the past year.  Crossplane Capital will be recognized at the 15th Annual Turnaround Awards Gala during the Distressed Investing Summit on September 29, 2021 at the New York Athletic Club in midtown Manhattan, New York.

“Being recognized as the Private Equity Firm of the Year is a significant honor after an extremely active 2020 and 2021 for Crossplane,” said Brian Hegi, partner and co-founder. “When we launched Crossplane in 2018, we sought to create a leading lower middle market firm that excels in operations improvement and complex transaction execution with an emphasis on human capital development within each of our portfolio companies.  This award recognizes our differentiated value creation approach.”

“Being honored with this award by the M&A Advisor is a testament to our talented team and partner-like approach to investing in complex situations and family-owned businesses that seek an operational and financial partner”, said Ben Eakes, partner and co-founder.  “Having closed 14 transactions since September 2019 during a volatile economic environment demonstrates our team’s ability to find and close compelling investment opportunities.”

Firm of the Year submissions were judged by an independent committee of M&A, restructuring and refinancing industry business leaders, based on criteria including the Firm’s profile, unique attributes, and industry impact.
