As Director of Operations, Finance and Accounting at Crossplane Capital, Mike partners with our senior management teams to develop and execute on growth initiatives and operational improvements. Mike serves as a trusted advisor and technical expert by evaluating and supporting the accounting and finance operations at our portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Crossplane Capital, Mike was a Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Accounting and Financial Reporting Advisory practice, where he provided the firm’s strategic and financial sponsor clients with accounting and financial reporting advisory services in conjunction with private and public market M&A strategic alliances, divestitures, and financial restructurings as well as accessing the global capital markets through private and public debt and equity raises. Prior to Houlihan Lokey, Mike was the Senior Director of Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting for Bread Financial (formerly Alliance Data). Mike began his career at Deloitte in the assurance practice and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas.
Mike is a proud Dallas native who enjoys coaching football and basketball for his two sons. When he is not drawing up plays, you can find Mike on the golf course or cheering on the Dallas Mavericks. Mike fancies himself a weekend warrior handyman — though his wife might say he’s more “weekend wishful.” His sneaker collection has earned him legendary Dad status in his neighborhood.
